Our pawsome superhero Ninja wants to share a gentle reminder to everyone. Every situation is unique and there are tons of strategies to help you with your home purchase or sale.

If you're a homeowner, you know how many things there are to do. For those of you who are new homeowners, let me tell you that the moment you say: “We're moving in”, your house becomes a different beast. It's not just another house where you eat and sleep or hang out with your friends — now it's your home. As a homeowner, certain things have to get done to keep your home in tip-top shape. And while some of those things may be a bit of a hassle, they're all worth it in the end.
Here's our October Homeownership Checklist:
1) Make sure your water heater is working properly (turn it on and off several times). If there's anything wrong with it, have it fixed by a professional ASAP!
2) Call up an exterminator for help with any pests that may be causing problems around your place — like termites or mice!
3) Make sure all of your appliances are working correctly (including your fridge and freezer). Don't forget about checking faucets as well!
4) Clean out gutters and other areas where water can collect around the outside of your house
5) Change the direction of your ceiling fans to get ready for winter
You don't want to be caught off guard by a leaky pipe or an overflowing toilet when it's too late.
Plus, this checklist is perfect for those new homeowners who have no idea what they're doing and could use some guidance!

1. Place foam covers over exterior faucets
2. Inspect caulking around windows and doors to keep your home nice and warm
3. Clean washing machine - I recommend running an empty cycle after soaking the washer with a cup of baking soda & vinegar
4. Get your AC winterized
5. Get your furnace serviced for optimal heating
