Friday night I saw Purlie Victorious at Studio Theatre 🎭🎤

Written by the late Ossie Davis, known for using storytelling, theater, and film to advocate for civil rights and Black representation ✊🏾, this satirical comedy blends humor with powerful social commentary to tell the story of the Jim Crow South!

I left with a strong sense of community and empowerment at the end of the play ✨🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

This Mother’s Day, I took my mom to see Cinderella 🩰 by Edwaard Liang.

This was our first ballet performance we got to see, which made the evening even more special!

From the beautiful ex*****on to the breathtaking storytelling, every interaction between the dancers felt magical, and the sets transported us miles away ✨.

Truly an unforgettable performance! 🎭
