We’re so proud to announce that our first-of-its-kind shared, synchronized immersive reality experience “Expedition Palau” has been nominated by The Webby Awards for technical achievement! We’d greatly appreciate your vote!
To kick off the United Nations World Oceans Week, we partnered with the ocean stewardship non-profit The Hydrous and Lenovo Education for a “dive” under the waters of Palau. This guided experience allowed for people across the globe to share in the wonder of the underwater world together, at the same time.
This new type of live, virtual event wouldn’t be possible without years of innovative collaboration with Showtime VR. Thanks to them and to all who attended or helped bring this to life – you were part of something incredibly special and we can’t wait to further unlock the potential of this new format, free from outdated spatial and logistical constraints. Exploration is for everyone, everywhere!

The future and very heart of conservation storytelling are leaders like Paula Kahumbu and WildlifeDirect. Collaborate and cultivate both local and global.
Who you make stories with and who they are made for matters as much as the story you tell.
That is a lesson we at Meridian Treehouse have learned from Paula, Jahawi, and countless others. It is an example we strive to live up to in all we create.
Expanding access to science and knowledge is key to fostering curiosity.
