Remember the days when a 56K dial up modem would knock your socks off?!

We love looking back at older technology and reflecting on how much impact it had. While slow, dial up internet did enable a lot of commercial connectivity across the nation!

Oh, and we still offer dedicated fax lines, for those customers who demand it! ;)

We at Metro Wireless often get asked about our thoughts on Starlink - after all, it's certainly getting a lot of buzz!

Our take: we think it's a great technology and one that will help fill in coverage gaps where even a fixed-wireless or cellular connection will not reach.

However, in situations where alternatives exist, Starlink may not pose the best commercial solution due to its data caps, reliability issues (Starlink has no SLA), volatile latency, ever-increasing pricing, and limited user support.

For clients without an alternative, we wholly recommend it, but for all others, we'd ask our partners and clients to take deeper consideration.

Here at Metro Wireless, we might have stumbled onto a new tradition, a crawfish boil lunch for all to enjoy!

Our resident cook (and Senior Install Manager!), Rod Knutson, boiled those little guys up like nobody's business! We had it all: liberally spiced crawfish, potatoes, sausage, and corn.

Everyone had a great time and we can't wait for our next crawfish boil. It was a great way to bring everyone together to break bread..err..crawfish!

🎄Merry Metro! What a blast we has this year at the Metro Wireless annual Christmas party. The night was filled with great friends, libations, food, and some killer Bocce. Boy, if this Internet service thing doesn't work out we could probably start a pro Bocce team, just saying! :)

We had another BIG install recently! This project involved upgrading an island-based client from an unreliable 500Mbps connection to a >1.8Gbps symmetrical connection at a distance of >25 miles! This service will power the local university, schools, and community library!
