If you have not already heard, I am sad to say that Mr. Allan Pitchford (SFC USA Retired) passed away on the 29th of July. Please keep his family in your prayers as they go through this trying time.

From Allan's children:

Thank you all for the outpouring of love and prayers. Dad was truly a great individual and clearly loved by many. He positively touched the lives of all those around him. As a friend reminded us today Jay/Allan/Pitch/Dad/Grandpa lived by the idea of leaving everything better than you found it, and quite clearly he accomplished his mission.

We will work to keep everyone updated with regard to memorial services in the future. We hope to allow everyone who loved him the opportunity to recognize his impact on their lives. Please bear with us as we begin to work on the details since this is all happening so quickly. Those who wish to honor Dad’s memory, in lieu of flowers we ask that you pay what he may have given you forward with your time or money to the organizations closest to his heart, your local Boy Scouts of America council, or the American Red Cross.
