📅 Book your time NOW! This Monday (Columbus Day) at Paws Awhile Cat Cafe we will have our Latchkey Kittens available to snuggle and love on! They will be available for adoption. You can preapply to be preapproved. When you're approved we can set up same-day adoption during your Cafe visit.

💰 The adoption fee covers spay/neuter(which is already done!), up-to-date vaccines and micropchip! The fee is $125 cash or $126 if paying with check to cover that $1 mailing fee.

Bring your kennel with you to safely transport your new furbaby home! 😺

The Latchkey Kittens will be hanging out at the cafe with us 😻 Rescue Ranch will have some extra tweens with us that are available for adoption, and with approved applications, may be available for same day adoption ✅ Holidays can sometimes be busier, so reserve your time on our website, or stop by! "Why do you call yourself a Cat Rescue if you wont take the cat/kittens I 'rescued!'?"

Real quick misnomer:
You didn't "rescue" when you picked the animal up off the sidewalk and then tried to give to somebody else. Your attempt to transfer responsibility is not rescue.

What is Cat Rescue?
Rescue is stopping your everyday tasks to care for a cat that is not yours. You love them like they are yours for sure. You show your foster love, kindness, time and family so they can be adopted and know how to act. Rescue is stopping your life to volunteer at events (that seem like nobody goes to), to transport cats to vet appts, other fosters, events, and even other rescues outside of your area. Its time cleaning litter boxes and other areas, applying medication when necessary, taking the time to try and find a cat that has found a hiding spot because they don't know they are safe yet. Its money: litter, gas to run around getting things here or there, food, spay/neuter, shots. We don't get free vet care. That money comes from donations. It's taking time to take pictures and edit for social media because you can't be seen until you post the pretty shiny pictures. It's heartbreak because not all of them make it. Cats, especially kittens have the worst immune systems and are further weakened by stress not to mention the cruelty of what we have seen people do to them.

It's not the Rescue who is responsible for every critter on the street. Its the community. Its YOU. Its STARTS with the spay and neuter of your pet. If you can't spay/neuter the animal you are responsible for, you're not helping.

Animal Control is not the problem. They are in a state of triage all the time! They aren't the bad guy. They do the best they can and RESCUES try to take the heat off them. Rescues don't pull from the public primarily because we could be held liable if the animal you "saved" belongs to another and the correct steps to locate owners weren't made. We keep rescuing by following certain procedures. We aren't the bad guy.

Those that don't spay/neuter the animals they feed... those are the people that are "Ew. Gross."

Mr. Fergus is searching High and Low for his home. Have you seen it? He is a silly playful and loving cat! He is young but not too young! He loves a good time! He is basically pus in boots! He has 2 boots and wears his little gloves on his front paws. You won't get tired of these little pink beans making the best biscuits. Fergus likes kids, dogs and other cats so he is ready for any level of a good time.
