Once Upon a Tutu is our magical 6-week introduction to ballet created especially for preschoolers ages 3–5 who are not yet in Kindergarten.

For six weeks, our littlest dancers will explore ballet basics through music, movement, imagination and play — giving them the opportunity to experience a real dance class, build confidence and discover whether ballet is something they love.

And, of course, every little ballerina needs a tutu…

BRING A FRIEND WEEK IS COMING! 💙

Sharing dance is even more fun with a friend! From Saturday, October 3 through Friday, October 9, Step By Step dancers are invited to bring one friend to participate in class and experience what dancing at Step By Step is all about.

And there’s a little something extra for our dancers this year! Every dancer who brings a friend will be entered into a drawing to win a FREE FULL-PAGE AD in our 2027 Recital Program — a $100 value! Create your own page using your favorite photos and a special message.

Planning to bring a friend? Here’s what you need to know:

• Friends should be close in age to the class they are attending.
• Friends should wear comfortable clothing they can move in. Dance shoes are welcome if they have them; otherwise, athletic sneakers or bare feet are perfectly fine, depending on the class.
• Friends are coming to participate in class, not simply observe.
• A parent or legal guardian must sign a participation waiver before the friend may enter the classroom.
• Please let the office know in advance if your dancer plans to bring a friend so we can prepare for our guests.

We can’t wait to welcome some new faces into the studio and let our dancers share something they love with someone they love spending time with.

This playful 6-week session gives children 18 months–2.9 years a chance to explore music and movement alongside their favorite grown-up.

We'll move & groove, sing & play, explore with props, build coordination and confidence — and have plenty of fun along the way!

And our first little movers are already joining us. We'd love to welcome a few more! 💙

Introducing DANCE LAB — a six-week experience created for dancers in Grades 3–5 who want to explore, experiment and discover more about how they move.

Each week brings something completely different:

Floor & Flow — flexibility, mobility and body awareness
At the Barre — ballet technique, posture and balance
Turn It Up — turns, jumps, kicks and coordination
Find Your Groove — rhythm, musicality and dynamics
Tell the Story — expression, character and storytelling through movement
Create It! — dancers bring everything together and create choreography of their own

It's part training, part exploration and part creativity — without committing to a full dance season.

If you have a young dancer who loves to move but you're not quite sure what style they'll love most, Dance Discovery was created for exactly that.

Over six weeks, dancers will get six different experiences — building skills, trying new styles and discovering what makes them light up.

It's a little bit of technique, jazz, creative movement, musical theatre, lyrical and POM — all wrapped into one fun six-week adventure.

Designed for children 18 months–2.9 years, Mini Movers gives toddlers the chance to explore movement, music and creativity in a fun, welcoming environment — with the comfort of having Mom, Dad, a grandparent or another favorite grown-up right there beside them.

There is nothing quite like the first day of a new dance season — familiar faces coming back through the doors, new dancers walking in for the very first time, and all of us getting the chance to begin again together.
