The article explores how Excelitas’ advanced melt-fit process compensates for even the smallest glass tolerances to enhance imaging performance and reliability in demanding industrial and scientific environments. Unlike software-based corrections that come with systematic limitations, our melt-fit process takes a different approach, precisely optimizing mechanical and optical parameters based on the actual characteristics of each glass melt. The result? High-resolution images with outstanding uniformity and minimal sample-to-sample variation.
