Patriot's Day ceremony commemorating the mustering of Waltham patriots that went off to battle in the American Revolution and fought the British. They mustered at the corner of Lexington and Lincoln streets in 1775 before moving on to Lexington. There was also a nice remembrance and moment of silence for Waltham veteran Mac Moran who was always part of these events. Happy Patriots Day to you All!! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ

The Salvation Army Waltham Corps are having their Family Day today until 4pm. A very well attended event. My fellow councillor Cathyann Harris Ward 8 City Council was there volunteering her time helping out at the door as well as my fellow Lion Maria Sheehan (who took this photo) was also helping at the door. Captains Justin and Marsha Barter are doing great things at the Salvation Army. Both work non-stop to assist those who need it most in our community. I don't want to leave out any one that was volunteering there today...thank you to each and every one of you...but I also did see long time Salvation Army volunteer Cynthia Ann Pelletier there working hard as always. Again, thank you to everyone working to better our community.

Some video action of the Battle Bots Competition at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation

One of things that is so great about our community is the interesting things that take place on a daily basis that the average person may not be aware. At the Charles River Museum of Industry they are having a Battle Bots Competition until 6pm. I was really surprised when I walked in and saw the amount of people that were there enjoying this event. I have seen these competitions on TV, but never in real life. Well that changed today. I watched a bunch of very different robots destroy each other. All of these created by very smart young people who were having a really good time competing against each other. Thank you to the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation for hosting this event and to all of the participants and attendees. Great event for our city.
