My view from the grill cooking burgers for the Waltham Lions Club tonight at the Waltham Block Party!! Come down and check it out...great crowd...great community event!!!

Back again this year...you may remember I attended the Battle Bots event last year at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation. It is a really cool event bringing all walks of life together to feature technology, mechanics, engineering, and fun all wrapped up in one event. This year is more packed than last year. It is great to see a community event like this catch on and bring more people from Waltham together and bring those not from Waltham to our great city. This is going on until 6:30pm. Come on down and check out the museum and robots destroying each other!!!

The weather is absolutely perfect tonight for the Waltham Arts Council veterans night concert on the common with the American Legion Band. Come on down and enjoy a beautiful night with your fellow Waltham friends and neighbors.

The Moody St Car Show was a huge success this year. Congrats to the Waltham Chamber of Commerce for putting on a great show. Thank you to all who helped organize and run the show!!! A beautiful day to bring our community together.

What a great night for a Waltham Arts Council concert on the common!!! The Tom Bruhl Trio is putting on a wonderful show tonight. They sound fantastic!!!

Such a great day handing out backpacks to students getting ready to go back to school. Thank you to the The Salvation Army Waltham Corps for hosting this event every year and to the Waltham Lions Club for sponsoring. Shout out to councillors and Lions Bill Hanley and Cathyann Harris Ward 8 City Council who were also here handing out backpacks on this warm Monday. This is community at its best!!!

Waltham honored our Purple Heart Veteran's this morning with a ceremony outside of city hall. After acknowledging our Purple Heart Veterans, they raised the American and Purple Heart flags to honor those who were wounded protecting our country. Thank you to our Purple Heart recipient veterans for all that you sacrificed for our country and thank you to every veteran who served to protect us.

Beautiful night for concerts on the common and Classic Groove!!!

Come on up to 22 Brookway Rd at Chesterbrook. The kids have set up a community lemonade stand. They are being very entrepreneurial and trying to beat the rain. They will be here until 4. This is what community is all about.
