This we're taking you inside one of the most fun dining experiences we've ever had at sea! πΆπΊ
Plaza de Coco on the Disney Treasure is not just dinner, it's a full on experience. The moment you walk in you are transported into a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture, complete with rich colors, festive decor, and the heart and soul of the Coco story all around you. Marigolds, papel picados, family photos on the Ofrenda, and even shoes honoring the Rivera family shoemaking business.
Thanks to Disney's rotational dining, we got to eat here twice. And while we had our same great waiters, we had completely different menus and a completely different show. Night one follows Miguel and his family in Mariachi Plaza, and night two is Dia de los Mu***os. Both were entertaining with a fun storyline and lots of music.
It wasn't just dinner and a show, it was fun for the entire family! This is what Disney does - details, storytelling, and magic at every meal.

Raise your hand if you spent day three of your vacation trying to find something that you know you packed, but don't know where it is. π
We've been there! And this is the hack that changed everything for us, especially traveling with a toddler.
An over the-door shoe rack is hands down one of the best things you can bring on vacation. Hang it on a closet door, the bathroom door or even an adjoining door and suddenly everything has a home.
From toddler clothes to toiletries, accessories, chargers, sunscreen, and snacks - everything is now easily accessible throughout your entire trip.
We pack ours before we leave for our trip, fold it into the suitcase and hang it up when we get to our room - and just like that, most our unpacking is already done! Or if you aren't traveling with a large suitcase, just fold it up in your suitcase or bag and fill it up once you are settled. Either way, you now have a travel hack to help you save space and stay organized!
Small cabins or hotel rooms don't have to feel small. You just have to pack smarter.
Pro Tip: Double check to see if there are any restrictions about using the over-the-door hooks in your cabin or room. On our Disney Cruise we had to swap out our over-the-door hooks for magnetic hooks.
Drop this in your travel tips saved folder and tag someone who needs this before their next trip. ππ§³

Happy - this week we are talking about one of our absolute favorites, Izumi on Royal Caribbean.
is one of those specialty restaurants that we genuinely look forward to every single sailing. It's an extra charge, but we splurge on it, because if you are a it's worth every penny without question.
Here is the thing about Izumi. It's actually the most popular specialty restaurant by volume across the entire Royal Caribbean fleet and once you sit down you immediately understand why - fresh sushi, signature rolls, sashimi, and on ships with the hibachi experience, a chef cooking right at your table who is equal parts talented and entertaining.
A few insider tips worth knowing before you book:
π£ Book through the Royal Caribbean Cruise Planner before you sail and you can usually snag a discounted rate before dynamic pricing kicks in.
π£ The hibachi fills up fast on almost every sailing. Book it as early as possible or you will be waitlisted. Ask us how we know. π
π£ The prix fixe menu starts at around $45 and gives you an appetizer, two mains, and dessert.
Have you been to Izumi? Drop your favorite roll in the comments. π

Did you know today is National Sunscreen Day? βοΈ
We talk a lot about packing lists and travel tips around here and sunscreen is always at the top, and here are a few things worth knowing before your next trip:
π Reef safe is not optional at many destinations. Mexico, the Caribbean, and Hawaii all have restrictions on certain chemical sunscreens to protect coral reefs. Oxybenzone and octinoxate are the two most common banned ingredients. Check your bottle before you pack.
π’ Cruise ship pool decks are sunscreen traps. The reflection off the water and the deck amplifies UV exposure significantly. Reapply more than you think you need to.
ποΈ SPF 30 minimum, SPF 50 if you are fair skinned or spending a full day outside. Dermatologists recommend reapplying every two hours and immediately after swimming regardless of what the bottle says.
βοΈ Don't forget the easy to miss spots. Ears, back of the neck, tops of feet, and the part in your hair if you are outside all day.
𧴠Buy it before you travel. Sunscreen at resort gift shops and cruise ship stores costs significantly more than what you would pay at home - and pack extra.
Protect your skin! The world is too beautiful not to see it comfortably.
