Just can’t get this one out of my head these last few months.
I was practicing for last week’s worship, and to be real with y’all, this take isn’t perfect. The key wasn’t great for me, and there are a few spots that are pretty rough.
But the more I sat with it, the more I felt like maybe this is the kind of thing I should share.
God’s not looking for perfect singers.
The Bible doesn’t say only the prettiest voices should praise Him.
He just loves hearing His children lift Him up, even when it’s not polished or on pitch. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord”
“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock…”

So I’m putting this out there anyway. Not because it’s the best I’ve ever sounded… but because it’s real. And honest. And it’s me doing my best to worship the Lord with all I’ve got.

This one has had me in a chokehold for about 25 years now. As a young man/teenager I never let the preacher/preaching soak in as much as I should have, but the music has always spoke to me. With this one I’ll always get thrown back to that young kid at Crossroads who really had no idea what the true gospel was, and only went because my buds were going. I often have to remind myself what it’s all about!!!

Super excited to be welcomed back to the Ozone Songwriter Festival again for 2025. I’ll be on stage this Saturday November 1, at 4pm at Columbia Street Taproom sharing the stage with 2 other incredible songwriters, sharing our original country music and the stories behind the songs.
I haven’t posted much lately, but it doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on new music. I told myself this summer my goal for 2026 was to write and put out more music that glorified our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Here’s one I’ve been working on, it’s called “With Your Grace”.

Saturday 9/20 you can catch me at Hickory Hill Country Club & Resort from 7-8pm. I’ll be sharing the stage with many other great songwriters from the Gulf Coast states this weekend.
