Our Meet the Student Advisory Council series continues with Andray S! Andray is a Freshman at Waco High School in Waco ISD. When asked about his experience with Baylor TIP Andray shared,

"Baylor TIP is an experience that incorporates friendships with learning opportunities that assist you with the long term, planning to go beyond high school into college."

We’re excited to welcome Andray as one of our newest members of the Student Advisory Council! We look forward to hearing his ideas, learning from his experiences, and seeing the perspective he brings to our group. Welcome, Andray! 💚💛

This October, we’re recognizing 🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀 and the importance of awareness, research, early detection, and support.

This year, breast cancer became personal for us at Baylor TIP. One of our colleagues, Jodi Heston, faced a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment while continuing to be an important part of our community.

"We are grateful that my breast cancer was caught very early, and thanks to a caring medical team, I am healthy and strong today."

With her permission, we’re sharing Jodi’s story as a reminder that behind the statistics are real people, families, colleagues, and communities.

This month, we honor those affected by breast cancer and recognize the researchers and healthcare professionals working to improve understanding, detection, and treatment. 💗🎀

Alicia M. is another returning member of our Student Advisory Council! She joined last year because she wanted to learn more about being a leader, and it's been a joy to watch Alicia's leadership skills blossom.

Meet another fantastic new member of our Student Advisory Council: Oliver F.! 🌟

Oliver is an 8th grader at Indian Springs Middle School in Keller Independent School District. When he’s not in the classroom, he’s learning to play tennis (with his first match coming up this fall! 🎾) and enjoying video games like Kirby and the Forgotten Land. 🎮

Oliver shared what keeps him coming back to Baylor TIP events:
“There are so many different classes to pick from. On a Super Saturday, you could do mock trial in the morning and an AI engineering class in the afternoon. I think everyone should try the classes they would normally pick but also branch out into ones they wouldn’t.”

We’re thrilled to have Oliver take on a leadership role with Baylor TIP this year! We can’t wait to see all that he’ll bring to the team. 💚💛

Next up in our meet the Baylor TIP Student Advisory Council series is one of our newest members, Gabriella M! Gabriella is a student at Atlas Academy in .

We are proud to introduce her as one of the students stepping up to lead, serve, and make a difference in our community. Follow along as we get to know each of them! 🌟
