WDI provides services for the Employment and Training component of the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP). These services provide an opportunity for eligible families to receive career counseling, job search assistance, access to specialized vocational programs, and support services. We can also connect you to local resources for any other needs you might have along the way. Career Pathways

Career Pathways are WDI programs geared to help you launch a new career in one of many industries in Southeast Minnesota. Different Career Pathway programming is available within industries like healthcare, manufacturing, customer service, business services, and services and trades. Begin a Career Pathway conversation with one of our Career Navigators to receive individualized support along the way to sustainable, living-wage work. Workforce Development Inc. is proud to announce that 8 Youth and Young Adult Scholarships have been awarded for the Spring 2021 Semester! 👩‍🎓👨🏾‍🎓 Congratulations!

Scholarships are awarded, up to $4000 per semester, to eligible individuals pursuing a certificate, degree or short-term training that will lead to an in-demand, high wage occupation upon completion.

Coursera offers 3,800 courses and training modules from over 200 top businesses and universities, including more than 60 courses from the University of Minnesota. These learning opportunities are aimed at preparing people for in-demand jobs. In fact, more than 2,400 organizations already trust the Coursera platform to train their employees.

Minnesotans interested in using Coursera must register before September 30, 2020, and will have access to the platform through March 2021.

We work with thousands of people annually, serving 10 counties in Southeast Minnesota. Six of our ten locations include Minnesota WorkForce Centers where multiple agencies deliver related services for job seekers and employers.
