What an awesome few days on the road!

Members of Villa Rica FFA and Temple High FFA recently wrapped up our Summer Ag Tour through Middle and South Georgia, and it was one for the books.

Students got an up-close look at several different sectors of Georgia agriculture, starting with Cooley Farms in Roberta, where we learned about the modern poultry industry. We then traveled to Musella for a behind-the-scenes tour of the packing house at Dickey Farms and saw firsthand how Georgia peaches make their way from the orchard to consumers.

The next day, we visited White Oak Pastures in Bluffton to learn about their innovative approach to regenerative agriculture and livestock production. We finished the trip in Tifton with a tour of ABAC and a visit to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture.

Along the way, we enjoyed some great food, plenty of laughs, and made memories that will last a lifetime. Most importantly, our members had the opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world agriculture and explore future educational and career opportunities.

A huge thank you to everyone who welcomed our group and helped make this experience possible. We can’t wait to see where our next Ag Tour takes us!

As we wrap up another great year of agriculture education in Villa Rica, we want to thank all the people that made it possible. Our banquet last night was a great success and a testament to all the work of students, parents, administrators, and other community supporters over the last year. Thank you all!! 💛💙

Big News! Villa Rica FFA’s Rueanna Edwards has been elected Area 1 (NW GA) FFA Vice President! Not only that, but she was recognized for her 1st place area win in Prepared Public Speaking. Over the next year, Rueanna will help lead the region in FFA functions and competitions. We couldn’t be more proud.

Next Wednesday is our 2025-2026 banquet! Make sure to RSVP!! 💙💛

As we wrap up state FFA convention, another chapter of our year comes to an end. This spring, we have had the pleasure of having Mr. Andrew Marsh as a student teacher. After coming to us from ABAC in January, he quickly became a great addition to our program. He will be missed by our students, Mr. Jacobs, and the NCCA staff. We have a good feeling we’ll be seeing him around for years to come as he starts his journey as an ag teacher. Thank you Mr. Marsh!!

After 3-4 years of dedication to their ag classes, FFA, and their SAE projects, four VR FFA members received their GA FFA State Degrees this morning in Macon at the 98th Georgia FFA Convention! Congratulations to Wyatt May, Riley Redding, Rebecca May, and Anabelle Thompson. 💙💛🏅
