Divine Child Foundation
Making a difference for abandoned children in the eastern European country of Georgia
Conditions in state-run orphanages in the country of Georgia are so harsh that some children prefer to take their chances on the street. Divine Child Foundation focuses its efforts on improving the physical conditions of the children's lives. We have found that positive changes in the environment leads to improved emotional health and increased community involvement with the children.

Tsilkani Children's Home. Six children will arrive on Tuesday!
Two new children's homes are opening soon -- the first six children arrive at the Tsilkani home on December 27. Gil and Kelvin will be traveling to Tbilisi, Georgia to help with the homes and have Christmas with the children. More complete information is on the website. We need your help to finish furnishing the homes and provide ongoing support!
Gil is in Georgia this week inspecting the progress on the two houses that are being renovated for the two small orphanages. He reports that the quality of the work is good, but as with any construction project there are some issues. He's discovered that one of the houses will have coal-powered heat, which is dirty and very expensive. But there's no other option -- liquid gas is banned in Children's Homes for safety reasons, and the gas line won't reach the building for two more years.
