Vienna Stars Baseball

The 2023 fall travel baseball season has come to a close, and this team certainly went out with a bang!🏆

After going 0-2 on day 1 of the Under Armour Winter Nationals , they started battling back on day 2 as the 5th seed. After three hard fought games, the Vienna Stars Rubin 11U came out on top, taking home the banner and the championship rings after a win against the Cape Fear Arrows in the final.

Congratulations to the boys on their tenacity and grit, and for their excellent showing of teamwork this weekend! Also, a big thank you to our coaches who have led the team through a great 11U fall season!

⚾️You might have to do a double take, because not only is this the Vienna Stars Rubin second tournament win of the spring season🏆, but the tournament MVP Declan Hutchison hit 2️⃣ home runs out! That’s right, TWO times in one tournament!😱🤩

(I’m pretty sure he hit the first one about as far as West Virginia.)

But really, the kid hits bombs!💣 And the bats were hot for all of our 12, defense was stellar, and the pitching on point.

Overall, an exceptional day of baseball☝️ and we’re on our way to Patsy's American cause that’s what we do when we win‼️

Vienna Stars Baseball is back on top after taking home the🥇🏆at the Spring Upper Chesapeake Baseball Festival in Bel Air, MD. Not even the ⛈️could hold us back!!

Recap from the end of the fall 10u travel baseball season, and our Vienna Stars Rubin boys went out with a bang‼️

The Ripken Halloween 🎃tournament was an amazing experience to end a great fall 10u season. After out-scoring their opponents 37-4 in pool play, the Rubin Stars played their ❤️ out in a very intense battle of a semifinal game. Their opponent, the FB Braves🪓, was one of their most challenging opponents of the season, though the Stars kept it classy with a 6-5 win in extra innings despite adversity on the field.

The final was a tough game against the Canes, and unfortunately the Stars came up just a bit short as runners up out of 10 teams in the tourney.🥈

The Stars have no reason to hang their heads! They finished their outstanding season 23-4-2, with 3 tournament wins and 2 second place finishes out of 5 total tourneys entered! The team finished with a batting average of .414, and our boys scored 162 runs on 133 hits. 🎤💥

But even more important than the noteworthy stats were the many fun experiences we all had together with our amazing baseball family.

Many thanks to the coaching staff for their patience, mentorship, and helping our boys to learn, love and respect the game.

🤩Sunday means game day, and our Vienna Stars Rubin boys are getting pumped💪 for a double header against the Reston Warriors this afternoon!⚾️
