SUNDAY RECAP
What if we’ve made ministry far more complicated than Jesus ever intended?
What if we’ve been so busy looking for something BIG to do for God that we’ve overlooked what He’s already doing right in front of us?
This Sunday, in Acts 9, we saw something beautiful.
A paralyzed man gets up and walks.
A dead woman opens her eyes.
And a room full of widows holds up coats made by a woman named Tabitha.
Miraculous power.
Ordinary compassion.
And ALL of it was evidence of Jesus.🙌
Somewhere along the way, we’ve started measuring ministry by how impressive it looks. The platform. The gifting. The calling. The extraordinary.
But, Tabitha didn’t need a microphone.
Apparently, a needle and some thread were plenty.
Because ministry was never about doing something impressive FOR Jesus.
It’s about participating in what Jesus is already doing.
And here’s what I love…
Peter was still being changed while Jesus was working through him.
Jesus doesn’t have to be finished WITH you to work THROUGH you.
You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to manufacture a moment. You don’t have to become somebody impressive.
Just stay close to Jesus.
And pay attention to what’s in front of you.
Somebody’s sick? Pray.
Somebody’s hurting? Move toward them.
Somebody’s overlooked? See them.
Somebody needs a coat? Make the coat.
Because Jesus may not be physically walking through Verdigris…
But His love can.
His compassion can.
His power can.
Through us.
Verdigris doesn’t need a more impressive version of us.
Verdigris needs to encounter JESUS.
May our lives leave evidence that He is here. ❤️

Sunday service reminder
Not just in a church building. Not just in a seat on Sunday morning.
There’s a place for you in your Father’s house.
A place where you don’t have to have it all together. Where you don’t have to earn your way in, prove your worth, or pretend to be someone you’re not.
Because before you ever walked through these doors, you were already known. Already prayed for. Already seen. Already deeply loved by a good Father.
You don’t have to strive for a place that He’s already made for you.
You simply get to come.
Come with your questions. Come with your burdens. Come with a heart full of faith or a heart that’s struggling to find it.
There’s room for you here at VA.
Tomorrow morning at 10 AM, we’d love to worship alongside you.

Wednesday night reminder
Tonight will be a night of reflection, prayer, and worship.
A night to slow down, turn our hearts toward the Father, and pray over all God is doing and all He is going to do in the VA Family.
We are so expectant for what He has in store for us.
Come ready to worship, pray, and simply rest in His presence. 🙌
Bring the whole family! We will see you at 7pm!❤️

SUNDAY RECAP
What if the problem isn’t that we don’t love God, but that somewhere along the way, we’ve learned to see Him through the wrong lens?
Saul knew Scripture. He knew theology. He was passionate, convinced, and sincere.
And he was sincerely wrong.
Because he couldn’t see Jesus clearly.
This Sunday, we were reminded that Jesus gets the final word on what the Father is like. What we believe about God matters, because we become what we behold. If our picture of God is harsh, shame-filled, or more concerned with being right than loving people, eventually that picture begins shaping us too.
Saul didn’t need a new Bible.
He needed new eyes.
And sometimes, so do we.
Sometimes revelation isn’t God showing us something brand new. Sometimes it’s finally seeing Jesus in what has been there all along.
When we see Jesus clearly, it changes more than our theology.
It changes the way we see people.
Ananias saw Saul’s history.
Jesus saw what grace was about to do.
Ananias saw a threat.
Jesus saw a brother.
May our prayer this week be simple:
“Jesus… open my eyes."
And whatever You show me, give me the humility to let You change me.”
What a powerful Sunday together. ❤️

Goodmorning church family!
Today we would love to pray with you, and for you.❤️
Whatever you’re carrying, whatever you’re walking through, or whatever you’re believing God for you don’t have to carry it alone. We firmly believe here at Verdigris Assembly we are family, and in this family we always pray for one another.
You are seen, known, and deeply, loved by the Father. He cares deeply for the things you care for, because you are His sons and daughters.
We would be honored to pray with you and for you today. Leave a prayer request below, or send us a private message. ❤️

What a beautiful time in worship, and an incredible message.

What does love require now?
This week, we were reminded that following Jesus isn’t always about knowing what comes next. Sometimes it’s simply about saying YES to what He’s placed in front of us today.
We can be so drawn to the big, visible, measurable things but Jesus often places a seed in our hands: one conversation, one person, one act of obedience. And we may never fully know what He has hidden inside that one small YES.
Big and significant are not the same thing.
So maybe the question isn’t, “Jesus, when will You give me something significant to do?”
Maybe it’s simply:
“Jesus, what seed have You already put in my hand to continue share your love with others?”
What's a seed big or small today that you can say 'yes' too?
