Community Media is a print and web media company specializing in monthly newsletter publishing for homeowner associations, neighborhoods, and communities. We work with different HOA’s throughout Florida to design, print, and deliver their community’s monthly newsletter as well as various businesses to provide advertising support in the newsletters. Our office is a fun, fast paced work environment with a fun and vibrant staff.

Summary:

Community Media is searching for a customer service/sales rep to assist in growing our business advertiser and community publishing base. Duties will include general office and administrative tasks, on-boarding new communities for newsletter publishing, and following up with business sales leads to support community newsletters with their advertisements. Additionally, this position will assist in newsletter layout for our production orientated design work cycle. A design background is a bonus, but not required – all necessary training will be provided. We are a small company so all staff members are responsible for multiple tasks.

Knowledge & Skill Set:

* High school diploma, or equivalent
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
* Able to work in a fast-paced creative environment as a part of a team.
* Ability to meet strict deadlines.

Nice-to-haves:

* Experience in customer service/support
* Business-to-business or business-to-consumer sales
* Prior experience in graphic design or desktop publishing
* Knowledge of the Adobe Suite of desktop publishing programs: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

Tasks:

Corresponding with customers via phone and email on various tasks.

Tracking work flow and status of sales leads and potential communities.

Helping create and executing multi-step marketing plans to generate leads.

Interact with other staff members to verify data accuracy.

Work independently to design and layout monthly newsletters using our desktop publishing programs.

Follow specific instructions to meet design criteria for each publication.

Job Type: full-time

Salary: $13-17 an hour (commensurate with experience)
