Looking back at the project we did for University of Chicago Medicine, it inspired us a team to change the trajectory of ActiveColor and shift our focus on Healthcare projects. Realizing that an app we helped to build saved a person’s life was a profound moment for us and it transformed our day to day work into a mission-driven pursuit.

Illinois Care CONTINUUM, led by University of Chicago Medicine, is a proprietary collaborative website application for hospital systems to connect with their partnering clinics for follow up specialty care. It encompasses a complete patient flow management – from testing and patient outreach on community level, through partner clinics, to partner hospitals for specialty care.

Working with a large number of stakeholders, it was imperative that we follow a clear process – starting with strategic workshops, performing deep research, and establishing clear KPIs. We followed our discovery with a clear and detailed information architecture and site-wide specifications for the system.

The differentiating aspect of this HIPAA-compliant web application is its modern and inviting user interface, which distinguishes it from many other healthcare applications and healthcare dashboards that tend to have a dry look and feel.

NCCRT Learning Center is a digital learning platform that features courses, calculator tools, and other resources on colorectal cancer screening delivery and research. We were tasked with conceptualizing an easy to use learning module and integrated custom planning tools, built on a customized WordPress LMS platform.

Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (NCCRT) is an inclusive, accessible organization dedicated to engaging public, private, medical and civic organizations in an effort to promote colorectal cancer prevention and early detection. The NCCRT and the American Cancer Society conduct extensive market research to better understand and address screening disparities. NCCRT courses share significant findings from this market research and further recommends how to educate, empower, and mobilize those who are not getting screened for colorectal cancer.

In building this platform, we focused on building well designed and structured course delivery and planning tools, while engaging the users and creating an easy, frictionless onboarding process. Users can create an account to track their progress, learn when new content is released, and access more courses as they become available. The website uses a heavily modified WordPress LMS system, that we adapted to the specific needs of the client, including custom data fields and a completely templated and customized way to build course content within the LMS.

We crafted an interactive learning and planning platform that provides personalized training and interactive financial modeling to healthcare professionals…so excited to be a part of this solution!

We are deeply honored to be working with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® (AKA). AKA, an international service organization, was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women. AKA is comprised of more than 325,000 initiated members in graduate and undergraduate chapters located in 12 countries.

The goal of this project was to rebuild the main Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority website and create a user experience that surpasses expectations - designed to inspire, invigorate, and inform. The new website design reflects the four-year theme and program of the new administration with Danette Anthony Reed as International President during the 2022-2026 period. The website is a hub of relevant information while showcasing the personality, accomplishments, historical significance and impact of AKA. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated
