Crested Butte has always been one of those mountain towns we absolutely adore, and get so excited to visit every summer for weddings. Can’t wait to be back at Ten Peaks in July!

It’s a common theme when I am getting to know potential couples— they express they’re drawn to my work because of how I photograph people in the landscape— they often can’t quite explain why, only that it just feels... different.

If I were to put words to it, I think it comes down to composition—

the space I leave,
the decision to not fill every frame.

To me, it’s never just about the people, and it’s never just about the place—it’s how they exist together. The scale, the stillness, the quiet in between.

I’ll always let the landscape of your day hold its weight—not just as a backdrop, but as part of your story, preserving the intention behind where you chose this special day to be.

And I think that’s the part people feel, even if they can’t quite name it.
