I'm on the teeter-totter edge of getting choked up.

Join us TONIGHT for a special offering from the Himalayan Sky! ✨
Shanu called me today from India ~ he heard about our Vesak Day Smoke Offering, and wanted to contribute to make it extra special and powerful.
So tonight, Shanu and a group of monks will travel one hour by car to the region’s highest point — over 15,000 feet in the Himalayas — to dedicate this offering to all of us in the LOTUSWEI community and beyond.
Shanu asked me what to tell the monks: What is the purpose of this Smoke Offering?
I asked my spiritual teacher what to share with him, and he offered this:
“During the last teaching he gave, the Buddha held up a flower.
The purpose of this mountain Smoke Offering is for LOTUSWEI, so that everyone realizes the power of flower essences.
Even the Karmapa needs flower essences. Even the Dalai Lama needs flower essences.
Nobody is older than the flowers. Up to this year, people still don’t know the quality of flowers. Only some people realize how powerful it is.
So the purpose of this Smoke Offering is to dedicate it to the world, that the whole world realizes the power of flowers, and the power of flower essences.” ~ Karma Sangye Rapten
