Sometimes it’s those last design decisions that make the biggest difference.
I hung this plaid wallpaper just a couple days before the Street of Dreams event started. There was a moment where I almost decided not to do it… but I knew it was exactly the detail and character this bedrooms needed. So I pushed through and got it done.
This room was all about layering, mixing pattern, texture, and color to create something that feels collected over time rather than perfectly matched.
I believe in mixing old with new, higher priced pieces with lower priced ones, and a few thrifted finds mixed in along the way.
Design doesn’t have to come from one place or one price point. The magic usually happens when you blend it all together and let the room tell its own story.

If Monday comes every week, why would I meet it with resistance?
Why would I decide in advance that one seventh of my life deserves less?
I’ve lived 1,887 Mondays.
I don’t know how many I have left.
So I love them on purpose.
Proof that my design skills are evolving… my dance skills? Still under construction.
And honestly, that feels like life. You don’t have to master every step to be doing it right. You just have to keep showing up, finding joy, and letting the messy moments breathe.
Don’t take it all so seriously. The magic usually shows up when you’re just being real with your soul.
