During the shoot (which is digital and the cameras set to shoot black and white) we had time to kill (waiting on the sun to go down on an overcast, day two of shooting.) The Lady Brooks began to do one of the things she does best (radiate gorgeousness.) So I grabbed my ax and did what I strive to do best. The lighting conditions sucked, the scenery in the background blew but we made this work. Had I been shooting film I would not have bothered as It's very difficult to get film to do this... and I surely wouldn't have had the right kind of film on me... The smooth skin tones to darkness in low contrast lighting. Forget about it, you just lose it in a flat funk. Had these been on color they'd have been hideous.

Ladies and gentlemen...
AdobeMojo Proudly Presents...

The Diana Camera's 2018 Film-Scan Debut!
"Flamingo Uno"

Hey, 1 useable exposure out of 16 ain't bad...

The lens fell off (next to Summer's "Big Chicken") and I didn't notice until I was finished.

Had to go back and find it in the yard.

I bought a very near mint condition Nikon FE with a lens at a garage sale in Santa Fe from the original owner for $20. I put a new battery in and successfully ran a roll through it and then began another in New Mexico.

The camera still had the half roll in it since then. Not recalling what type or speed of film was in the camera I didn't realize it was on the wrong setting and finished out the roll with Zoe at the lake... grossly overexposing the remaining few shots.

The upside: a few of the exposures riding in the camera came out usable and we got a bonus of Summer with her mom.

These are digital photos of the negatives taken on my light table, reversed and adjusted in Photoshop. I can't wait to get some paper and print it.
