Lisa Rachel Horlander
Texas artist and Podcaster
Inspiration and intuition go hand in hand with my process.
Those waves have not left me. They inspire the movement in the layers and details im adding to my current exploration. Letting water do what water does and letting music lead my hand.
Im so grateful for that mini trip to Tacoma and the impressions it gave me.

This painting was one for my first that focused on the spaces between objects, light, movement, seasonal change, and all I currently focus on in my work. It has been in several shows and was recently displayed at the UT Tyler's library.
I was so pleased my dear friends purchased it for their lovely home in Tacom WA! We made it a mini vacation to deliver the painting, install it, and catch up. I got to meet their puppy and eat their amazing cooking. Also look at that view! Wow!
Thank you for supporting me over the years as both my teacher, friend, and art patron.
