The greatest gift we have is time. Today L423 spread some holiday cheer to those who were not able to spend time with their loved ones. Gift baskets to Aurora ED, Froedtert Holy Family ED and Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch provided by Two Rivers Firefighters. Thank you to The High Lift, Sips Play Cafe, and Coffee Lab for your generous contributions!

L423 hosted its annual Holiday party last night at Bricks Downtown Bar & Grill. Current and retired members and their spouses gathered, shared stories and reminisced about the past and caught up on the various accomplishments of the current members. Chief Murack awarded Patrick Krajnik the Dean Andrews Valor Award for his actions that saved a young child after he had fallen through the ice. A-shift was unable to attend as this was their year to work, but a huge thank you to Brick’s Downtown Bar & Grill for their amazing staff beautiful venue space, and delicious food. Christina’s Cakery & Baked Goods LLC and Hartman's Bakery Manitowoc for the delicious desserts.

Today we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving others, those who never returned home to loved ones, those whose lives were cut short. We remember, so we will never forget, how fragile life truly is.
