Two Rivers Carp Fest

No Festival This Year

And, that’s a WRAP!

Thanks you to all who came out for “The Return of Carp Fest @ Rogers Street Fishing Village!”

Saturday, while we had clear and cool temps, we had a pretty nice sized crowd, and High Rollers put on a great show!

Sunday was even cooler with spotty showers. Luckily, we had a huge tent for shelter, and Bare Bones Blind kept everyone entertained with their energetic and FUN show!

Carp Fest is a fund raiser for Rogers Street, and while all of the numbers are not in, we are definitely in the black. All bills paid, and the proceeds of Carp Fest will go to help with projects going on at RSFV. With the weather we had, we surely did not have a successful event this year, without our generous sponsors! Please patronize these local businesses. They are the ones that make your local events happen!

The Wisconsin Carp Championship was also held this weekend on our Twin Rivers. I hope to give an update on the fishing tournament after we have our formal “Wrap Up” meeting next week. Watch for our announcement for Carp Fest ’23. It will most likely by the same weekend, but we always wait on confirmation from the Tournament.

Carp Fest is happening This Weekend.

Cliff Cousteau was hiding out due to Carp-Covid and needed a Lil break. Dave VanGinkel, had this idea to bring back Carp Fest. He had a major role in the creation of this event in the beginning. I thought it was crazy. If you know David personally, you know it's happening.

So, a few months ago he called Cliff on his shell-phone and asked if he wanted to swim this way party like it was 2010. (The 1st Carp Fest was held at Rogers Street Fishing Village in 2010) Cliff was on board. Dave made a few phone calls, attended a few meetings and 💥 p**f, a festival is taking shape.

This is a fundraiser for Roger's Street Fishing Village.
They'll receive the proceeds from this event. Let's kick-off summer for a great cause. They're 100% volunteer ran. RSFV is a gem in our city. Make it a date to visit them 1 day this summer. Become a member. Your membership dollars helps this organization operate. You'll see cool shipwreck stuff that's haunted. Or They say. 👻

Things are a little different than past Carp Fests, for starters we have A&W as our food vendor. They're also donating proceeds to the event. Our awesome neighbor Nick is the manager at A&W. We're super excited to have them set up for Saturday and Saturday. 🧀 Cheese Curds and a Root Beer Float, here I come!

Sunday, Higher Grounds Coffee Company will also be set up. They're amazing and I can't wait to try their new summer drinks.
