We celebrate type cutters! As Women’s History Month is coming to a close Hamilton wants to honor multiple generations of working women. Mardell Doubek worked at Hamilton Manufacturing and then HWT from 1968 until 1990 first as an upholsterer, then type cutter. She began volunteering at the museum shortly after it opened in 1999, demonstrating the operation of Hamilton's original pantographs. She has passed on her knowledge of this craft to the next generation of type cutters in Georgianna Liesch. Currently George is sharing her knowledge of this trade with her daughter Maggie.

We're accepting applications for a Program and Education Coordinator (Part-Time) and Welcome Desk Assistant (Part-Time)

The Program & Education Coordinator leads the creation and delivery of onsite educational programming, including public classes, private workshops, tours, and live printing demonstrations. This role combines curriculum development, hands-on instruction, program logistics, database management, and participant communication.
