💜 Domestic violence isn’t something that only happens somewhere else, to someone else.

It happens in communities like ours, often quietly without the people around them ever knowing. More than 1 in 3 women, and 1 in 6 men in the U.S. have experienced sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime.

They are our neighbors, coworkers, friends, family members, and people we pass every day.

Throughout October, we are helping InCourage raise awareness about the violence and abuse that too often goes unseen. Because awareness starts with recognizing that it happens here, too. You can help raise awareness by participating in Wear Purple Day on October 22nd.

If you or someone you know is experiencing violence at home, please reach out to InCourage using their 24-hour crisis line. (920)684-5770 💜
