Matrix was recently an exhibitor at the 4th Annual NW Washington Construction Career Day, hosted by the AGC Education Foundation in Lynden, WA.

Over 480 junior and senior high school students and teachers attended, representing 13 local area high schools and career technical education programs. A broad range of local construction companies were in attendance as exhibitors, with many unique hands-on opportunities for students to explore career pathways in the construction and building trades.

Matrix introduced students to welding concepts with virtual weld simulators and basic fl**ge assembly and piping system principles with a piping skid designed by the Apprenticeship team for personnel training and community outreach events. Overall, the event was a great opportunity to expose the next generation of workers to career opportunities in our industry!

To close out Mental Health Awareness Month on May 28, Matrix hosted the "More Good Days, Together" panel, where field leaders spoke candidly about the unique mental health challenges facing construction workers. Panelists emphasized that stress, anxiety, and emotional struggles affect everyone, sharing personal experiences and practical strategies for maintaining mental health. The session ended with a challenge: make mental health part of every conversation. The more we talk, listen, and support each other, the stronger our teams—and our industry—will be. Let's build more good days, together.
