Last month, our Briarglen families turned cardboard boxes into the cutest little rides! 🚗 🏁
At the school’s family engagement movie event, preschoolers climbed into their own one-of-a-kind vehicles and watched the movie Cars. Between the snacks, prizes, and endless smiles, it was a joy to see families create something cool together and make memories together. And we loved seeing Ms. Nicole in the Mystery Machine van that she built herself!

Thank you to all the families and staff who made the event so special!

The hallways at our Disney school are filled with color for Hispanic Heritage Month which lasts until October 15. Representation matters in early childhood. Every child deserves to see their heritage honored. And when all children learn about the traditions, art, and stories of their classmates, they build the curiosity and respect that grow into kindness. ❤️

World Teachers' Day was established by UNESCO in 1994 to recognize the vital role teachers play in shaping societies around the globe.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of World Teachers’ Day, and we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible dedication and hard work of our teachers. At CAP Tulsa, our mission to provide high-quality child care and early childhood education is brought to life by the passion and commitment of our educators.

Our Learning@Home Health Fair last month had it all! Families explored resources from community partners while our staff handled ear checks, eye screenings, and answered questions about keeping up with children's health milestones. There was even a quesadilla bar, and a fun story time.

To our community partners, our staff, and every family who joined us, thank you for making this a huge success!

Mindful moments and creativity at Briarglen! 🎨
Last Friday, families in Classroom 11 came together for a Mindfulness and Art Family Engagement activity. Together, they created breathing boards to practice mindful breathing and explore simple ways to find calm through creativity. ✨

We love seeing our children and parents learn, create, and connect together! 💚

The parent event at our ECDC Reed location earlier this month was a huge success!

A big THANK YOU to the guest speaker, Michel’ Dudley, CAP Tulsa’s Senior Team Lead of Nutrition Services and Food Services Partnerships. She shared an engaging and meaningful presentation called, “What Is Filling Your Tank? Focus on Healthy Habits.”

Michel' gave our families practical tips and reminders about the importance of sleep, nutrition, routines, connections, and taking time for daily resets. Parents also got to enjoy a healthy yogurt parfait bar while learning about foods that do not provide great nutrition.

One of the biggest takeaways from the training was:
“Fueling myself isn’t selfish… IT IS NECESSARY!”

We appreciate everyone who helped make this a great experience for our ECDC Reed families!

Established in 2006 by the Oklahoma Legislature, the mission of the Oklahoma Early Childhood Program (OECP) has been to improve the quality of early education and expand access for children from birth through age three. Recently, OECP providers from across the state met in Tulsa for learning and to celebrate two decades of partnership that has directly benefited more than 46,000 children. CAP Tulsa is proud to be part of the OECP and to continue providing strong starts for children for the next 20 years!

Earlier this month, our Skelly location celebrated this year’s grand opening of its library, creating a special space where children and families can enjoy books and learn together. For September, families have also been learning about “balloon breathing” as part of our focus on social-emotional skills. 🎈
We can’t wait to see all the development and connection that happens here! 💚
