Women of Éire: “Kerry Boy” Sets the Stage for Ballybunion Debut

What happens when women who have spent decades forging their own careers, audiences and artistic identities come together, combining experience, individuality and creative fire?

The result is Women of Éire — a powerhouse collective bringing distinctive voices and soaring harmonies to Ireland’s traditional songs, reimagined with a contemporary edge alongside original music.

That next chapter arrives on October 7th with Kerry Boy, a contemporary, radio-friendly, toe-tapping track written by Caitríona O’Sullivan and Andy Reynolds, produced by Grammy-nominated Billy Farrell and featuring Tara Howley on whistle and fiddle. An ode to the quintessential Kerry man, it pairs Celtic flavour with a fresh sound.

Just ten days later, on October 17th, eight members of Women of Éire take to the stage at Tinteán Theatre, Ballybunion, for the collective’s debut concert. Internationally acclaimed artists Sina Theil, Caitríona O’Sullivan, Chantelle Padden, Elle Marie O’Dwyer and The O’Neill Sisters join celebrated Irish dancer Róisín Lyons, who toured worldwide with Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, promising a night of powerful voices, rich harmonies, Irish dance and a bold new take on Irish music.

The debut concert is proudly presented in partnership with lead sponsor HerMoney — a fitting collaboration between two projects passionate about championing women. Dedicated to empowering women through financial independence, HerMoney provides tailored financial planning, education and support, helping women take greater control of their financial futures with confidence.

Tulsa IrishFest – This young Festival has found its groove!

Tulsa IrishFest 2027 will be the 7th Festival in our organizational history, and it feels like we have found our groove!

From inception, we have stayed true to our mission of providing a high-quality, culturally authentic, family-friendly experience at our annual Festival. But with any new Festival, getting all the ingredients just right isn’t easy. However, our 2026 Festival delivered a weekend experience that hit all the right buttons, giving us the momentum to craft our 7th event to perfection.

For the second year in a row, we have built the momentum for our 2027 festival by hosting a series of one night concerts we are calling “The Irish Hooleys”. Irish trio “Socks In The Frying Pan” opened the series, followed by Nova Scotian sisters Cassie and Maggie MacDonald. Irish guitar virtuoso Shane Hennessy rounded out the September shows. Sina Theil begins our next round of shows, followed by “House of Hamill” and “On The Lash”.

The 2027 Festival will feature Irish band “Corner Boy” and vocal sensations “The Wellermen”, along with our Oklahoma’s own “The Waxie Dargles”…plus many more! While top quality music is a mainstay for Tulsa IrishFest, delivering fun for the whole family with a great “Little Leprechaun Kidzone”, wonderful cultural speakers, sheep herding and Highland cattle.
