Reading Partners Tulsa

📚 Teachers come in all shapes, sizes, and walks of life, and we’re so grateful for the incredible teachers in our Reading Partners community: our tutors and AmeriCorps Volunteers!

As educators, you’re constantly learning and growing. You show up for our trainings and workshops, share tips and tricks with one another, and eagerly build your skills, so you can show up as your best self for our students.

Your commitment, patience, dedication, and passion make a difference every day. Thank you for believing in our students, investing in their growth, and helping them reach their literacy potential. 🌟

Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🧡🤗

“Thank you for tutoring me!”
“What are we reading today?”
“Let’s sound it out!”
“I’m so proud of you.”

These are just a few of the many words you might hear during a Reading Partners tutoring session, where students and tutors learn, practice, and grow together. ✨

We had the most incredible day at Trinity Woods Tulsa Health and Wellness Fair! Thank you to the hosts and to all of the residents & employees who stopped by our table to learn more about becoming a volunteer — or even to share about their experiences tutoring with us in the past!

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and we couldn’t do this important, meaningful work without their continued support.

Happy first day of September and National Literacy Month! 📚✨

This month, we’re challenging you to make literacy a priority with 9 simple ways to celebrate:

📙 Visit a local library
📘 Write a book review
📙 Donate a book to someone or to a charity
📘 Reread your favorite book
📙 Read a new book
📘 Discover a new author
📙 Swap books with a friend
📘 Learn a new word
