This was a discarded video I made one day when I discovered "The Keystone" (It's your heart) was magnetic on both sides. The back side shown at the end of the video has a magnetic clasp to hold the keystone (Your Heart). One day while painting the front side I had used a paperclip to hold a reference photo above the panel. Suddenly it fell from the attachment down the easel and was magnetically drawn to her eye. Shouts of "SHE'S MAGNETIC!" were heard.

An older work, "Eclipsed by Building, Embraced by Architecture (Bebe)," oils on virtual layered panels was sacrifice to the eclipse on April 8, 2024 after years of daydreaming what should have been. Today January 13 ,2026 with the layering added to the top (Sending Bebe head first through the table saw!) They have both survived and the fight against building eclipsing architecture continues.

This is my submission to the TAC's Tulsa Artist Coalition member show this year. It did not get completely finished in time for the show; what artwork is ever finished, it's just set aside.
"Her Blue Architecture"
An oil painting on a wooden panel with broken framing and a digital marker over and under
her red heart.

"Ruth and Thomas," charcoal on toned paper. This is an older drawing that keeps popping up in my memories by Facebook. I am not sure I've ever shared it here on this newer account, so here it is in a tightly cropped version of the original.

These are just some fun images for a project I started from 1984 through 2024, "It starts with an Obelisk and ends with the Caryatid Resistance.” Photographs and portraits of buildings and architecture.

Fifty-two years ago today, "Modern architecture died in St Louis, Missouri on July 15, 1972, at 3.32pm (or thereabouts)." So wrote the polemicist Charles Jencks.
Pruitt-Igoe was demolished on this day, which was critically proclaimed the day the modernist dream had failed. It was shouted that Architecture had failed us.
I've long been working on a "Windows -project," part of which included the survivors of Pruitt-Igoe, showing the "8 Reasons why Architecture did not die at Pruitt-Igoe". Here are two old study sketches.
