I was extremely lucky to be able to go home to my family for the holidays. And while I got to spend time with Michael’s family and I love them, leaving my parents and my brother is hard. I love them. And I appreciate them so so much. I’m grateful for my relationship with my family, it makes it very hard to leave. I love you, thank you for the love and the past few weeks. .bell.mtb

I don’t know if it’s the artist in me or what but color is fascinating to me. This isn’t much of a tips post put it could be if you’ve been wondering about toning shampoos for brassy or yellow tones in your hair.
🔅I used to think “how does someone just KNOW what color to put on your hair?” There’s all these numbers and random letters on the color bottles and no normal human knows what 10Bg means.. and how do the stylists know how to deal with my hair when I know it “pulls warm”?
🔅Fun fact. You all pull warm. Every single one of you under level 7😂 The darker your hair the more color pigment you have that has to build up to create that natural dark brown. And your level 1-3 hair has all the primary colors in it to make that beautiful color.
The numbers in ones color relates a level of dark to light hair color. 1 relating to black, 10 relating to the lightest natural blonde. The letters equate to the color either desired or needed to create your intended outcome. Sometimes it means it contains a complementary color to the warm tones your lightener has lifted you to.
❤️Here’s a fun experiment, the next time you have paint lying around mix together equal parts of each complementary color. Orange/blue, Red/green, Yellow/purple. If you’ve chosen colors nearest to their primary or Pantone color when equally mixed you’ll create a brown or neutral color. And that’s what we do with your hair:) Color theory and chemistry at work👍🏻
What are some color problems you’d like to fix or understand more?

I actually have an obsession with natural curls..and redheads. I LOVE color and textures, I can spend hours in a store touching and admiring fabric..
It seems to be that people want what they don’t have; you have natural curls but you wish it were straight, straight haired people want natural curls. Though those with straight hair don’t often have the same struggles that natural curly hair has.
Hair is hair, all color and textures have the same basic needs. Curly hair will often come with some additional wants, usually- more frizz, thicker hair, different styling needs. And why? I hope this will tell you.
Drop your questions below! How can I help?

October happens to be my favorite time of year. Not Fall, not Halloween, or even the cooler weather. October. It always feels like it’s the start of some sort of change, either seasonal or personal, it’s refreshing to me. I also was born in the middle of it so there’s that😅😊️.
As much as I love the fall, October is special to me. And I thought I’d use the theme this month to share some of my favorite things. Recipes, things to do, things I’ve learned, tricks I’ve picked up etc.
Bear with me, I’m trying to be more prepared with all my posts this month rather than doing them last minute(I say as I type this caption at 11:50pm🤦🏼♀️)
❤️To start I want to give you some tips I’ve been taught for styling and keeping your curls❤️

I have STICK straight lashes. I’m not sure when things changed..I swear they used to curl somewhat decently with a lash curler. But now after I attempt to use the lash curler, my mascara doesn’t help things and just weighs them down. Zero curl.. waste of mascara (who LIKES mascara anyways? It’s THE worst to take off)
🔆For a little while I did lash extensions- I even do them myself (not ON myself that’s crazy). And I loved them. But I found I didn’t often find or make time to get them filled once they lost their volume and I’d just wear them until they’d all fallen out. Yeah I know it looks silly but I did it.
🔆Recently I’ve been getting a lash lift and tint and it’s been THE best thing ever. I really don’t worry about ruining them with my workouts and being rough on them. I’ve worn mascara ONCE. I mean..thanks Corononavirus I guess. But just like with lash extensions I don’t feel the need for makeup🤷🏼♀️
Now I KNOW some of y’all are going to wanna look up how to do all of these options from home. More power to you, but I will say- DIYing things that involve chemicals around your eyeballs- not the best idea. I’d rather y’all have a safe and good experience with it all and not lose your eyesight, give yourself an infection, DIY fail, or ruin the thickness of your natural lashes. Don’t do these ones on your own, I’ve tried it. It’s not a good experience.

Ever wonder what the heck the difference is between a pomade and a fiber styling product? Scroll through to see🤗
I hope I have blessed your brain a little bit with this post😂 the main differences between these “Liquid Tools” will be the amount of shine and hold they have.
🔆Now some hair styles in particular need a specific product to do exactly what your barber does, and depending on your hair texture some products are going to create more problems for you than others.
🔆Thinning or fine haired people of the internet, stay AWAY from heavy and oil based products/pomades. Stick to low volume hairstyles, attempting volume will emphasize the thin nature of your hair. Creams and lotions will be your friend.
🔆Not sure if you want or need high hold products? Think about this-
Is your hairstyle something you want to maintain all day and you don’t plan to touch it? High hold.👍🏼
Do you usually go for a flexible hold? Do you touch your hair throughout the day and want to mess with it but keep it styled? Medium to light hold👍🏼

I have a few go to products if you need some suggestions- I’m happy to share just ask!
