π NETWorks Works Because of You π
For the past 7 years, Crys has been one of those volunteers who simply says, "What do you need?" β and then gets it done.
Youβll find her at the front desk welcoming neighbors, helping with intake, organizing behind the scenes, assisting in the pantry, jumping into special projects, and stepping in wherever an extra set of hands is needed. If there's a gap, Crys fills it. If there's a challenge, she pivots. If there's work to be done, she's already on it.
While she may be an intake pro, her true superpower is her flexibility. No task is too small, no role is beneath her, and no day looks exactly the same. Her willingness to serve wherever needed helps keep NETWorks running smoothly and ensures our neighbors receive the care and hospitality they deserve.
Volunteers like Crys remind us that making a difference doesn't always mean doing one thing exceptionally wellβit means showing up, adapting, and serving with a willing heart.
Thank you, Crys, for 7 years of dedication, flexibility, and faithful service. NETWorks works because of YOU! π

π Service Doesn't Stop at NETWorks π
At NETWorks, we believe strong communities are built when people show up, get involved, and serve.
That's why we're excited to celebrate two members of the NETWorks family who were recently installed to leadership positions with the Rotary Club of Tucker for the 2026 Rotary year!
πΉ Chris Rollins, longtime NETWorks volunteer, former Board Chair, strategic planning leader, golf tournament chair, freezer organizer, and all-around community champion, was installed as President of the Rotary Club of Tucker.
πΉ Stephanie Shapiro, NETWorks Director of Development, was installed as Communications Chair, helping share Rotary's story of service, fellowship, and community impact.
Rotary's motto is "Service Above Self," a value that aligns beautifully with the mission of NETWorks and the work of so many of our volunteers, board members, staff, and community partners.
Whether serving neighbors through NETWorks, supporting community projects through Rotary, or building partnerships that strengthen Tucker, Chris and Stephanie demonstrate what it means to lead through service.
We are also grateful for the many community leaders who serve both NETWorks and Rotary, helping create a stronger, more connected Tucker.
Please join us in congratulating Chris, Stephanie, and the entire 2026 Rotary Club of Tucker Board!
π Because when people serve together, communities thrive.
NETWorks Works Because of People Who Serve.

π± Why Growings!? π±
People often ask what Growings! is all about.
The answer is simple:
π Growing.
π Feeding.
π Teaching.
Growings! is NETWorks' hydroponic farm, but it's also an extension of our mission to respond to the food and financial needs of neighbors and partner with them to find long-term solutions to poverty.
Here's how it works:
π₯¬ First, the harvest goes directly to the NETWorks Client-Choice Pantry, providing neighbors with access to fresh, locally grown produce.
π₯¬ When we have surplus harvest, we sell it to community restaurant partners including Ford's BBQ, Fresca, and Kamayan.
π₯¬ We also bring fresh produce, herbs, and plants to the Tucker Farmers Market and community events.
The proceeds help support the programs and services of NETWorks while creating a sustainable source of fresh food for our pantry.
It's a beautiful example of neighbors helping neighbors.
π Visit us TONIGHT at the Tucker Farmers Market!

ππ EIGHTY-FOUR YEARS YOUNG! ππ
Today, we celebrate a very special member of the NETWorks family...
π Happy 84th Birthday, Jimmy! π
If you've spent any time around NETWorks, chances are you've seen Jimmy behind the wheel picking up donations, lending a hand wherever needed, sharing a smile, or quietly doing the work that helps keep our pantry running.
For years, Jimmy has faithfully served our neighbors and community. Week after week, he shows up, helps with retail partner pickups, delivers food to NETWorks, and reminds us what dedication, kindness, and service look like.
Yesterday, when Jimmy stopped by NETWorks with a load of donated food, something pretty special happened. Lillian gathered our lobby full of neighbors, and together they surprised him with a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday." πΆπ
The smiles on everyone's faces said it all.
Jimmy, your service has touched countless lives. The food you have helped rescue and deliver has filled pantry shelves, stocked refrigerators, and provided meals for families throughout our community.
You are more than a volunteer.
You are a friend.
You are a blessing.
You are part of the heart of NETWorks.
Today, we celebrate not only your birthday, but the countless hours, miles, laughs, conversations, and acts of kindness you have shared with our neighbors over the years.
Please join us in wishing Jimmy a very happy 84th birthday! πππ

π Community looks a little different every day at NETWorks Cooperative Ministry.
Sometimes it looks like volunteers stocking shelves before the pantry opens.
Sometimes it looks like fresh produce harvested in Growings.
Sometimes it looks like neighbors helping carry groceries to a car.
Sometimes it looks like a conversation in the pantry aisle that reminds someone they are not alone.
Every pantry day is powered by people who believe community care matters.
Thank you to the volunteers, donors, church partners, and neighbors who help create a place where dignity, compassion, and hope are part of the experience β not just the service. π
