Opening planned for new Garden Catering location in Shelton! (Details in comments.)

The building at 70 Beaver St. was the home of W.A. and A.M. White, and later American Hatters and Furriers, both of which helped build Danbury into an epicenter of hat manufacturing, according to Preservation Connecticut.

The nearly 78,000-square-foot facility is now on the market for $1.5 million. It’s currently zoned for light industrial use, but is surrounded by apartments and houses.
