Optiwind's new wind turbine is the world's first distributed renewable energy technology that can be
To all of our friends and supporters, the Optiwind "family" would like to say a profound thank you. Optiwind's investors closed the company in February, but the dream of low cost, on-site, renewable wind power remains alive and well. The employees have now scattered (yes, to the wind) , but we will be watching as others will most certainly take up this worthy challenge again down the road. May the wind always be at your backs....

Hats off to the Indians for trying out this novel wind turbine technology at their ballpark in Cleveland. As mentioned in the article, it's a distant cousin to Optiwind's technology and we wish them well. It's nice to see acceptance of new thinking in wind energy.

An excellent Op-Ed in today's Hartford Courant about how to improve the Grid in one of the most expensive states in the country. Idea #1 more renewables. Idea #2 more distributed power. Count us in.
The Power Of A Grass-Roots Grid Now that Connecticut's electrical power has been fully restored, the typical governmental responses are kicking in: point fingers, hold hearings and propose changes to existing practices. And, as is also typical, the discussions will take place within a distinct silo of a single issue. In this case,...
Mother Nature has been busy in Connecticut this week, but we're happy to report that the turbine has passed both the Seismic and Hurricane tests thrown at it this week! Thank you to our world class Engineering and Manufacturing teams!!
