Thank you to everyone who came out to participate and volunteer for our 2022 Winter Wonderland 5K Run/Walk that benefits TARC. This year is the 25th Anniversary of the lights and Sunflower State Games was honored to be a part of the ramp up for the opening night TONIGHT!!! (come out all season long from 6-10pm to bring your friends and fam to, $10 suggested donation for each car)

A special shout out the Deo Gloria choir from Cornerstone Family School for sharing their wonderful gift of song with our participants, it was beautiful! Huge thank you goes out to Boy Scouts Troop .

Race day is finally here! Join us tonight for the most festive 5K in Topeka! Bring your friends and family down to Tinman Circle and enjoy the glistening lights of beautiful Winter Wonderland as you bring in the 2022 Holiday Season with a brisk 5K Run or Walk. There will be a costume contest, so wear your best Holiday costume to liven up the party while you run. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed runners and the best dressed pooches!

Checkin in is from 4-5pm, and the race will begin at 5:30. Day of registration is available, so if you missed registration, you can still participate!

What a whirlwind! It has been such a successful, rewarding weekend with 22 different sporting events happening all around the Topeka area. We almost can't believe it! We cannot thank the athletes, volunteers, vendors, and venues enough for all their help and support throughout these Games.

Day one of the 2022 Sunflower State games is going great, and the Cauldron Fest has just begun!! Join us at the Hummer Sports Park this evening for some fun activities and food! The parade of athletes starts at 7, followed by presentation of colors and lighting of the cauldron. Come on down to the official kickoff celebration of the 2022 Sunflower State Games!

Congratulations to our basketball and corn hole champions! Mars took the gold in basketball with BNSF Railway taking 2nd, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas taking 3rd place. In the corn hole tournament, HME, Inc. took the gold, US Foods took 2nd, And Mars took 3rd place!
