Hello friends! I’m SO proud to say this week I mark my FOUR year anniversary back home in Kansas and back home at WIBW! I’m incredibly grateful, and can’t thank you enough for your support. To celebrate, I’m taking a few days off and blessed to be vacationing in the Caribbean. Can’t wait to see you again Monday September 21st!

Help us wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the one and only WIBW Melissa Brunner!! She's the gold standard in broadcasting and the heartbeat of 13 News.

Okay friends, we need your help. RILEY STARK is a celebrity waiter for the “Celebrity Soirée” for Childcare Aware of Eastern Kansas. I did this last year and I’ll be there as a helper this year. It’s a fun competition to see which ‘waiter’ can raise the most $, so naturally we need to help Riley. Plus, the money raised will help CCAEKS provide vital childcare resources and education across NE Kansas. CLICK THE LINK TO HELP RILEY HELP Child Care Aware of Eastern Kansas!

Thank you all for the kind words and sweet messages during my time away. We are so grateful for our NEKS community! 🩵

A personal note… I’ve been a broadcast journalist for nearly 30 years. I’ve covered countless celebrity deaths. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the outpouring of grief and love displayed this week for anyone like has been shown for Dolly Parton. She transcended generations. She was a national, and in fact worldwide, treasure. May she rest in peace 😢
