Join us Friday, October 2 & Saturday, October 3 as we celebrate the history of one of Topeka's most beloved parks with two days of free family fun!

🦋 Free admission to the Kansas Children's Discovery Center (9 a.m.–5 p.m.)
🎶 Garden Grooves Concert (6:00 - 7:00 p.m.)

Obsidian will be closing the gap for families who have been seeking the services that they offer which aren't always as accessible in the Topeka area.

The founder of Building Bridges Homeschool Co-op is also offering a space where families can receive support and community every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm at Topeka First United Methodist Church

Sign up is open for our young entrepreneurs for the 2026 Youth Pitch Contest! Our Contest will be Nov. 4th at Link Innovation Lab. Optional learning session are available at the Extension Office to youth who want to learn about how to create and deliver a business pitch!

The registration deadline for the contest is October 19th.

📚 Reading Boost - Targeted Reading Support for kids ages 7-11 (ish). We are continuing our Reading Boost program into the school year for your struggling reader! Kids will get a 2 hr class each week & learn from 2 experienced teachers! They'll get diagnostic tools to identify their strengths & struggles while also getting play, movement & fun while building reading skills.
