Topeka Metro will be observing our Safety First! promotion this whole week. Fall weather means safety together. Autumn and the safety precautions to take to keep yourself safe.

Fall mornings are darker, and fog and rain can make it harder for bus operators to see you at the bus stop.

Help drivers see you: Wear light-colored clothing and add reflective tape or gear to your backpack, jacket, or other items.

Be visible. Be safe. 🚍🍁👀

🚧 DETOUR NOTICE: On Friday, October 2nd, Seaman High School will have their Homecoming Parade, which will affect the #2 N. Kansas route (both outbound & inbound). The detour will start around 11:45 a.m. and end about 3 p.m.

🚧ATTENTION BUS PASSENGERS WHO RIDE #5 Indiana & #7 Washburn routes: Please click the links for the detours for these two routes (recently updated). Attention bus passengers! Due to construction at 37th at Topeka Blvd. Topeka Metro is not servicing Walmart South. If you ride the Washburn route #7, there is a temporary stop at 37th & Plass and there is a stop at 38th & Topeka Blvd.

If you ride the Indiana route #5, there is a stop at Topeka Blvd. & S. Kansas Avenue. At this time, it is unknown when the end date is.

The bus shelter at Wal-Mart South will be out of service. All bus stops west of Burlingame will be out of service. The roadwork will take approximately three weeks. 🚧The Washburn Route #7 bus will have to detour at the South Walmart at 37th due to road construction. The Washburn bus will go straight on Topeka Blvd. to I-470 over to Burlingame.
