While yesterday didn’t end as we planned, I want to thank everyone who supported our campaign and everyone who voted for me in the primary election. I vow that I will return to the state senate next session and I will continue fighting for you and your family. I will redouble my efforts to lower your property taxes, protect your children and ensure that Kansas remains a great place to live and raise your families.

To all the victors in our primary, I wish you all success and I look forward to helping push onward to victory in November! Ad Astra!

At nation's largest Methodist church, ex-employees split on Kansas pastor running for U.S. Senate • Kansas Reflector 07/22/2026

In May, I recognized that having a pastor who protected a pe*****le as the Democratic nominee for US Senate would not work out well for Democrats in November. It’s clear from new reporting that my initial concerns were well-founded, and I am once again calling for Pastor Adam Hamilton to withdraw from the Democratic primary.

Nonpartisan candidate briefing on property taxes, budget, education and constitutional rights - The Sentinel 07/21/2026

When it came time to actually cap property tax hikes for Kansas homeowners, 96% of Democrats in the legislature said no. I said yes.

I'm not interested in voting with my party just because it's my party. I'm interested in doing right by Kansans who are watching their tax bills climb 31% while their paychecks don't keep up.

That's the kind of independent judgment I'll bring to the U.S. Senate.

Some endorsements stay with you forever. Gloria Steinem's is one of them.
I can't thank her enough for her support. She's a big reason I'm a Kansas Senator today. Her tireless advocacy for women and women's rights fuels my passion for public service.

Gloria has spent her life reminding us that progress only happens when ordinary people stand up and fight for it. The fights have changed, but the stakes haven't. Kansans are still facing politicians, including one of my Democratic primary opponents who calls himself pro-life, who want to take away our freedoms, undermine our democracy, and put politics ahead of people.

I'm running for U.S. Senate because Kansas deserves better. We deserve leaders who protect our constitutional rights, defend reproductive freedom, lower costs for working families, and put people ahead of partisan politics.

Sen. Marshall continues to run from his constituents 07/13/2026

On July 8, Roger Marshall canceled a scheduled meeting in Holyrood rather than face constituents who disagreed with him then accused them of trying to "disrupt" the event. What did they actually do? Held American flags. Raised concerns about SNAP cuts, the SAVE Act, and ICE overreach.
Marshall hasn't held a single town hall since March 2025. Not one.
Kansans deserve a senator who shows up, for all of them, not just the ones who never ask questions.
I will meet Kansans where they are, listen, and answer for my votes. That's the job.

Sen. Marshall continues to run from his constituents To the editor: Sen. Roger Marshall told the crowd at Clara Barton Hospital the protesters who attended his scheduled July 8 meeting in Holyrood intended to disrupt the meeting, causing him to cancel the visit. Wow, those United States flags some of them held screamed communist agitators, and of cour...

Kansas governor candidate engulfed by blowback over 'no-show job' at Wichita State. It's about time. • Kansas Reflector 07/09/2026

Back in March, I tried to amend the state budget to cut off funding for Ty Masterson's job at Wichita State, a six-figure position ($163,000 last year) that nobody, including WSU staff, seemed able to explain.
I said then: "I'm concerned that this position isn't actually being filled right now."
I got voted down 37-1. Colleagues criticized me for even raising it.
This is what standing up to corruption looks like in practice. It's not applause lines. It's asking uncomfortable questions when everyone in the room wants you to sit down and go along. It's being the "1" in a 37-1 vote because the math on a no-show job doesn't add up, even when it's unpopular to say so.
I'll keep asking the questions that need asking, popular or not.

What exactly does Ty Masterson do at Koch-funded office? Rival calls it a ‘no-show job’ 07/08/2026

Earlier this year, I tried to stop funding for Senate President Ty Masterson's no-show, taxpayer-funded job at Wichita State. Every single one of my colleagues voted against it.

This is exactly the kind of self-dealing I've been fighting since day one in Topeka and exactly what I'll take on in Washington. Kansas doesn't need more politicians protecting their own paychecks. It needs a fighter for working families.

The has always meant something special to me.

As a Navy veteran, I had the privilege of serving alongside Americans from every background imaginable. We didn't all think alike or come from the same place, but we shared a commitment to something bigger than ourselves

As you celebrate with family and friends today, I hope you'll also take a moment to remember the service members, veterans, and military families whose sacrifices have helped protect the freedoms we enjoy.
From my family to yours, I wish you a safe, happy, and meaningful Independence Day.

America’s wheat harvest set to fall to lowest level in 150 years 07/03/2026

America's wheat harvest is on track for its lowest level since 1877. Kansas farmers are living that reality right now, drought-stressed fields, soaring costs, and no relief in sight. Rural Kansas needs a fighter in the Senate, not more excuses.

America’s wheat harvest set to fall to lowest level in 150 years The figures have renewed concern about one of America's most important crops and raised questions about what it could mean for food prices.
