Clipeez is a small business. A very small business. We are two moms doing our best to take great care of our clients while also raising families of our own and navigating real life outside of the salon. We know we can’t make everyone happy, and that’s okay; but it’s important false information isn’t spread.

Lately, there have been frustrations surrounding schedule changes, rescheduling, and the new automated receptionist feature through our booking system. I hear those frustrations. The receptionist feature was something offered through GlossGenius that I implemented in an effort to make communication and booking easier — not less personal. The clientele volume we have is too much for us to be able to personally respond and immediately get back to every single person.

As far as scheduling goes, I understand that having an appointment moved can be frustrating. We don’t take that lightly, it’s equally as frustrating for us. At the same time, we are human. Sometimes schedules have to change, kids get sick, life happens, and as a two-person salon we don’t have a large staff waiting in the wings to absorb those changes.

What I don’t want to get lost in all of this is what Clipeez actually is.

This salon has never been about running as many people through the door as possible. We know our clients. We talk about your kids, your jobs, your weddings, your vacations and everything happening in between. We spend hours behind the chair trying to make sure you leave feeling good. We answer questions, work through hair goals, accommodate where we reasonably can, and put a tremendous amount of time and care into this little salon.

I’ve spent 5 years building this salon, and I’m extremely proud of it.

We’re not perfect. We’re going to make mistakes. We’re going to change things when something isn’t working. But I also stand behind the way we run Clipeez and the boundaries that allow two moms to continue doing this job well without sacrificing our families or ourselves in the process. 🤍

I want to, again, make it very clear that I do not force myself or Karrie to come to work when we or our children are sick. Should be a no brainer. Motherhood comes FIRST, always.

We work hard to make up appointments that have to be moved around because of illness. We are also a two-person salon, so we don’t have extra staff we can call in to cover appointments.

Some have had a problem with that today, so I just wanted to reiterate.🫶🏻

We now have a dedicated phone line with our virtual receptionist 🙌🏼 yes it’s AI, but it’s a step closer to having a salon phone number!😅😂

So if you have a question, need help with booking, want to request an appointment, or just aren’t sure what service to book — give it a try!

Our receptionist can help answer questions, take booking requests, and get you pointed in the right direction without having to wait for us to get a chance to respond to messages between clients. 😂

We’re looking for a FULL-TIME STYLIST to join our salon fam! 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️

Clipeez is a busy, family-friendly salon, so we’re looking for someone who is professional, dependable, friendly, and can roll with a little bit of chaos. 😂 You don’t have to be a “kids-only” stylist, but you DO need to be comfortable working with children and know how to make both kids and parents feel welcome.

What we’re looking for:
✂️ Licensed cosmetologist
✂️ Friendly, outgoing & professional
✂️ Dependable and ready to WORK
✂️ Comfortable working with kids and adults
✂️ Willing to learn, grow, and take direction
✂️ A team player with a positive attitude
✂️ Someone who takes pride in their work and the experience they give their clients

Availability is important! During the school year, this position requires at least 2–3 evenings per week and 1 Saturday per month.

We’re looking for someone who wants to build clientele, stay busy, keep learning, and become a real part of Clipeez — not just someone looking for a chair to fill.

Tyla’s last day with us will be September 10th as she heads into her next chapter!
