Lot's of empty Pi boxes but no Pi's :( Crazy days. Fortunately we have pleny of parts for the new AD2IoT a ESP32 based appliance and AD2USB or AD2pHat boards if you already have A Raspberry Pi and want to build your own AD2 Web appliance. We are still taking back orders for Pi based web appliance but expect delays in filling those orders.

AD2USB's are on back order due to part shortages it will be a few months... Fortunately we have plenty of AD2pHat boards and we can keep building AD2 Network appliances on demand.
Beta test units will be ready to start shipping in the next few days!
Everything looks good on the latest batch of PCBs confirming the fix of some issues discovered in the first batch. Yes an AD2pHat was harmed(š„ < need blue smoke emoji) in the last test, RIP. The AD2pHat connection was also moved to give more room to connect the alarm panel wires when installing with big fingers. I went with Black masking on the PCBs this time thinking it would look cool on the bottom of the case. It does!
A new update of the firmware now with ethernet drivers for the ESP32-POE-ISO is in the dev branch on github and just about ready for another release.

We are down to the last few hundred AD2Pi first generation boards that will ever be made š„. Many thousands found homes and we hope this next generation board will find even more happy homes.
Starting sometime in the first quarter of 2019 we will begin shipping the new AD2Pi-pHat. With our continued support for the Pi 3b+ and Pi Zero platforms we will now be adding an optional AD2-Pi-Hat Pin adapter to allow for a variety of popular IoT development environments to connect to the new AD2Pi-pHat.
Let us know what development board you want to see support for.

The new laser cut aluminum case for the AlarmDecoder Raspberry Pi Bundle will arrive from a local company any day now! They will start shipping next week. This update was a little more R&D than expected so the price will likely go up by $5 for the next few months on the bundle. The design was adjusted a little to provide a punch out area so when we move to the new Pi board later this year it will be ready to hold it.
We recently updated the SmartThings integration to UPNPPush notifications for faster updates and more features. Contact ID reporting and relay OPEN/CLOSE events are now being sent to the SmartThings AlarmDecoder service and soon we will allow for even more virtual switches that can be associated with a contact id report code or relay. In the near future Virtual relays and Expanders will allow more integration so any SmartThings switch can act as an alarm zones*.

* currently Ademco Vista only. Virtual expander and relay support for DSC is on the road map for late 2018.
Another 8 months in the trenches writing code and I have finally surfaced with major improvements in the AlarmDecoder firmware.
In this release we have now achieved 100% compatibility between the AlarmDecoder virtual keypad emulation and a physical DSC keypads!! SO MANY SCREENS!!!
AD2* now supports all programming fields and sub menus. DSC mode also by default supports reporting the new LRR Contact ID report format with no panel programming needed for the reports. Programming additional report codes in panel programming mode will allow all sorts of messages to be transmitted.
The Long Range Radio protocol has been changed to now support Contact ID reporting that is standardized across all panels.
You can receive notifications on the USER who armed or disarmed what type of ARM mode and details on alarms including zone numbers and much more.
If you are running our Ad2Pi Appliance just select the updated firmware in the drop down list on the firmware page and take it for a spin. You can also upload using our cross platform GUI or our Python API.
Enjoy!
