🧚Introducing June's Theme: Explorando la Naturaleza!🧚
This June, we'll be following clues left by the faeries as we explore the natural world through stories, movement, outdoor adventures, and Spanish vocabulary.
Each week, a different faerie will visit our Story & Nature Play class with a special challenge for our nature explorers!
🌈 June 3 – The Colors of Summer
🐾 June 10 – Nature Movers & Animal Adventures
🌳 June 17 – Trees & Plants
💧 June 24 – Water & Life
We'll hike, play, create, learn new words in English and Spanish, and discover the wonders hiding all around us.

🌿🧭 Raíces Summer Forest Days 🧭🌿
This summer, I’ll be offering a small nature-based summer program in Terrell focused on exploration, imagination, outdoor play, woodland adventures, storytelling, movement, and forest school-inspired fun ✨
Our first themed week will be:
🧭 Explorers & Treasure Hunters: The Forest Mystery
📅 July 6 & 8
⏰ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
A mysterious map has appeared in the forest…
The faeries have begun leaving clues, hidden symbols are appearing along the trails, and young explorers are being called upon to help solve the mystery.
Throughout the week, children will explore:
🍄 scavenger hunts & hidden clues
🧭 beginner orienteering & map skills
🌿 teamwork challenges & outdoor games
🎶 music, storytelling, & imaginative play
💧 water play & summer fun
This will be a small, intentionally simple and community-centered outdoor program designed for ages approximately 4–8, with both parent-stay and drop-off options available.
I’m truly excited to bring a little more whimsy, adventure, and slow outdoor magic into our summer rhythm.
If this sounds like something your family may be interested in, feel free to reach out for registration information or questions.
Hi friends!
No class this week because I have a sick kiddo at home 🫠 for those of you who attended last week, did you find the safe spot in your home? Would love to see your artwork!

Hi friends!
I’ve finally got a form together for a potential forest day program.
The vision is something gentle, playful, and deeply connected to nature — filled with stories, music, movement, outdoor games, water play, crafts, exploration, and forest school-style adventures
Some possible themes include:
🏹 Forest Rangers & Woodland Skills
🍄 Forest Folk & Tiny Worlds
🌧️ Water, Weather & Wild Earth
🦋 Pollinators & Bugs
🍳 Outdoor Cooking & Campfire Kitchen
🧭 Explorers & Treasure Hunters
I’m currently exploring a few different formats, including:
a smaller 2-day/week summer rhythm
OR
4-day/week themed camp weeks
The form also includes questions about:
parent-stay vs drop-off interest
scheduling
themes
age ranges
Nothing is officially set in stone yet — I’m simply trying to build something realistic and aligned with the needs of our community.
If you have a few minutes, I’d truly appreciate your feedback:

Hi friends!
Just a quick reminder to please register ahead of time if you plan to join us this week. I prepare materials based on our sign-ups, especially for our tornado in a bottle craft.
If you arrive without registering, I may not have enough supplies for your child to participate in the craft.
Thank you so much for helping me plan ahead—I want to make sure every child has a great experience!

With all the severe weather we’ve been having across North Texas lately, this week’s Story & Nature Play feels especially important.
We’ll be spending the morning helping kids understand weather and tornado safety in a calm, age-appropriate way—so they feel prepared, not afraid.
During our time together, we’ll:
🌩 Talk about what storm clouds look like
🌪 Learn (simply!) how tornadoes form
🏠 Practice what to do in a safe space at home
🌳 Talk about what to do if we’re outside
🎒 Learn about a simple “go bag”
🧪 Make a fun tornado in a bottle craft
Our goal is to give kids confidence and real-life skills they can carry with them.
