Today I unwrapped my dear friend Edda Moerling’s first deck, A Field Guide to Matriarchal Remembering, and I’m still catching my breath. Founding edition no. 11/20. Made entirely by her hands.
The unwrapping was its own ceremony. Brown kraft paper sealed with wax. Twine wound around the cards like a promise. And beneath it all, a hand-sewn cover of chartreuse silk tied with a dusty pink ribbon, the kind of detail that tells you someone slowed all the way down to make this for you.
But the real gift is inside. These cards were created to guide us back into relationship with the women who walked and worked before us. To reconnect with the land, with the old ways, with the mother line that runs through each of us whether we remember it or not. Every card is full to the brim, a true field guide for the lo ng work of remembering. There’s even a little gold stand for pulling a card to sit with through the day.
Edda, you birthed something real into the world. Thank you for trusting your knowing and sharing it with the rest of us. I cannot wait to walk this path with these cards in hand. 👑

❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
We’ve spent the last few weeks gathering the pieces for this evening thoughtfully.
Filling jars by hand.
Building altar boxes.
Layering herbs, soil, paper, prayer, story, music + intention.
Jaime has been building a beautiful sound journey for the evening- something immersive, grounding + reflective to help guide us gently into the work.
We’ve been creating every layer of this experience with care because this isn’t just a workshop to us. It’s an invitation into ongoing relationship.
Relationship with memory.
With lineage.
With the women who carried us here.
With the parts of ourselves that were never taught where we came from.
Calling the Ancestors is the first gathering in a 4-part series rooted in relational inheritance, deconstruction, sovereignty, reflection + collective care.
We only have one seat left now + we’re feeling deeply grateful for the response this gathering has already received.
Thank you to every woman who felt the call + said yes already.
If you’ve been wanting to join us, our journey begins May 30th from 3–6 PM.

Join us for an evening with your ancestors. Amy Joon and Jaime Murphy invite you to an intimate women-only workshop on May 30th, 3-6 PM.
This intimate workshop's intention is to connect us back to our ancestral past. We open with a sound meditation, then ease into the core ancestor work as we build a beautiful altar in a jar and dress ritual candles to take home. Rich with learning and lived experience, we move into a letter writing and burning ceremony, complete with an ancestral blessing to close our time together. Leave with your portable altar, ritual candle, and a written guide to the ritual we shared together. We invite you to share this beautiful practice with the other powerful women in your life.
Your Hosts: Amy Joon comes from a long line of herbalists, magical practitioners, and healers. She has been at her practice for many moons and carries a wealth of knowledge to share. Jaime has 15+ years of leading workshops, guided meditations, and sound baths for small and large groups. She is a baby to the world of magic with incredible mentors like Amy guiding her on her own journey. Together, we will guide you through yours. ✨
Our intention with this workshop is to bring women together in power to re.learn the teachings of our ancestors. De.constructing and de.colonizing work is at the core of how we approach these subjects, as so much of our history has been lost or edited for control. This is the first workshop in a 4-part series we will be announcing at the end of our time together. Come be a part of this magic from its origin.
Space is limited to 8 souls. This will fill up fast, so don't delay.
This is a donation-based offering. Suggested contribution is $20-$40. If a monetary offering is still a challenge for you, please reach out and we will work with you. No one is excluded from this foundational work.
📍 South Tempe. Exact address provided upon RSVP.

You've made the plan. You've felt the resolve. And somewhere between Monday morning and Thursday night, it quietly fell apart. Again.
Most habit advice puts the blame squarely on you — not enough discipline, not enough drive. But the research tells a different story. The mental energy we use to make decisions, resist temptations, and push through discomfort all draws from the same limited reserve, and by the end of a long, demanding day that reserve is close to empty. That's not a character flaw. That's biology.
Here's the piece that changes everything. When your nervous system feels safe and regulated, the energy that was tied up in just getting through the day becomes available again. Focus returns. Patience returns. The capacity for self-control quietly resurfaces — not because you tried harder, but because you stopped fighting your own biology.
The habits that have felt impossible often become surprisingly accessible once the system underneath them is no longer working against you.
The full post is live on the blog. If you've been in the try, fail, reset cycle longer than you'd like to admit, this one is for you.

You made the plan. You felt ready. And then... you didn't do it.
Not because you're lazy. Not because you don't care. But because some part of you , the part running quietly in the background, decided it wasn't safe to change.
That's not a character flaw. That's self-sabotage. And it lives in the nervous system, not the to-do list.
No amount of willpower fixes a subconscious pattern. You can't think your way out of something that was never about thinking in the first place. The good news? Patterns can change. That's literally what I do.
If you've been watching yourself get in your own way and you're finally ready to understand why — let's talk. A Clarity Session is complimentary and it might just be the conversation that changes everything.
