Eye emergencies can happen when you least expect them, so know what to do if you or a loved one needs emergent eye care is important.

An eye emergency is anything that puts your eyes or vision at risk of permanent damage. Here are examples of possible eye emergencies:
· Eye trauma
· Foreign object in the eye
· Chemical injury
· Cuts and scratches
· Eye infection
· Sudden loss of vision
If you’re experiencing one of these situations, contact us for an emergency eye care appointment or visit the nearest emergency or urgent care for treatment.

Aside from the emergent care as described above, an emergency or disaster can strike at any time with little or no notice. For those who need vision correction, lost or damaged glasses can make a stressful situation even worse.
It is always a good idea to have a copy of your prescription available to you, a back up pair of glasses or contact lenses with solution, and your Optometrists information.
