Meet Rune, an incredible boy who doesn't let his blindness slow him down. He may not see the world, but he experiences it with his whole heart. Once he trusts you, he's a goofy, loyal, affectionate best friend who fills every day with joy.
After being found alone on the streets and overlooked at the shelter, Rune got a second chance at our rescue. He's quickly become a staff favorite and has proven that being blind doesn't stop him from living life to the fullest.

A few days ago, we teamed up with some incredible rescue friends to save these two sweet pups from a homeless encampment in San Bernardino. Theyโd had a rough start, and you could see it. Their little girl, with her gorgeous Rottweiler coloring, was especially timid and unsure of the world, while her slightly bigger brother was a bit more confident and ready to explore.
Fast forward just 48 hours, and itโs amazing what safety, love, and a little patience can do. โค๏ธ
These two are already settling into our pack. They were pretty unsure about Blackjack at first (our giant black Lab who often looks more intimidating than he really is), but now theyโve completely embraced him. Itโs been so fun watching them follow him everywhere, looking to him like the big brother and guide they never knew they needed.
Today theyโre heading to the SNIP Bus to be spayed and neutered, another important step toward healthy, happy futures. Weโre so grateful for everyone who helped make this rescue possible and for the incredible care theyโre already receiving.
Sometimes all it takes is 48 hours of kindness to remind a dog that the world can be a safe place. Welcome to the pack, little ones. ๐พโค๏ธ

Meet Kermit, an adorable young Pit Bull with the biggest smile, the sweetest heart, and a determination that inspires everyone he meets. While he uses a wheelchair to help him get around, Kermit doesn't let anything slow him down. He loves to play, explore, cuddle, and live life to the absolute fullest!
All this sweet boy wants is a family who will see him for who he isโnot his wheels. He deserves a home filled with love, adventure, belly rubs, and people who will cheer him on every step (and roll) of the way.

While she does have a seizure disorder, it's well-managed with daily medication and doesn't stop her from living a happy, love-filled life.
Laika has overcome so much in her young life and all she wants is a family to call her own. She deserves a home where she can finally settle in, feel safe, and be loved forever.

Just hours before he was scheduled to be euthanized, we rescued Swayze from the shelter.
From the very beginning, he had the funniest little butt wiggle and happy dance, but underneath that charm was a dog who was scared of the world. People intimidated him. Other dogs made him unsure. He had so much potential but didnโt know how to access it.
His Pawsitive Change pack has surrounded him with patience, structure, consistency, and love. Day by day, weโre watching him become the dog he was always meant to be.
They say the worst thing in life is wasted talent. Thatโs why this pack of men and dogs shows up every single dayโto uncover the potential in one another and refuse to let it go to waste.
Swayze is well on his way, and we couldnโt be more proud. โค๏ธ๐พ
Meet Georgie. โค๏ธ๐พ
Georgie is a strikingly beautiful tricolor pup who has quietly stolen the hearts of the staff at Kern County Animal Services. While heโs still a little skittish and learning that people can be kind, every day he takes another small step toward trust.
He doesnโt need perfectionโhe just needs someone willing to believe in him.
Right now, Georgie is looking for a rescue partner or a forever home where he can continue building the confidence heโs worked so hard to find.

๐โค๏ธ It takes a village to save livesโฆ and weโre incredibly grateful to have Motor City Buick | GMC Bakersfield in ours.
A huge shout-out to John Pitre and the entire team at Motor City for the generosity, care, and expertise they continue to show Marleyโs Mutts Dog Rescue.
Our vehicles are the backbone of so much of what we do. Theyโre the reason we can transport at-risk dogs to rescue partners in other states, make emergency veterinary runs, pick up dogs in need, and get our pups where they need to be safely. None of that happens without reliable vehiclesโฆ and keeping them on the road isnโt cheap.
Thanks to John and his amazing team, our fleet receives the care it needs so we can stay focused on what matters most: saving dogsโ lives. ๐ถ๐

When Baby entered Pawsitive Change, she was a timid young pit bull with very few of the skills she needed to get adoptedโor stay adopted. She arrived with little more than a glimmer of hope.
We werenโt sure how sheโd do, but her team believed in her from day one.
Now, just like so many dogs before her, weโre watching Baby truly shine. Inside the program, she receives something thatโs incredibly difficult to provide in a shelter or even many foster homes: hours of daily structure, training, consistency, and love. Every day, her confidence grows and her future gets a little brighter.
Baby is well on her way, and we couldnโt be more proud of her and the amazing team thatโs helping her discover just how incredible she really is. โค๏ธ๐พ
