In all the feels right now. Between this new moon in cancer paired with the mercury retrograde, I’m about ready to move to the tippy most toppest mountain in the furthest range where solitude and nature just ARE and nothing else exists. July is the turning point for the year, for our “new selves”, our “new reality”. So why is it so hard? Because just as mercury retrograde does it best, it’s reflecting to us the innermost points, stories, patterns, people and things that no longer fit where we’re going. Most new moons inspire new ideas, planting new seeds. Not this one. This one is asking you to w**d the garden. To remove the s**t that’s going to swallow your intentions, YOUR hard work. The universe is asking if you’re willing to accept the blessings that are being presented to you while also allowing what no longer fits your life to fall away. Will you answer the call willingly and truthfully or will you go kicking and screaming? The choice will always be yours 🤍✨

Cancer rules home, family, emotional security, and the people who make you feel safe. Cancer is ruled by the Moon, so this new moon carries a pull toward reflection. You may notice old memories surfacing or feel more protective of your time and energy.

This new moon also lands right on top of Mercury retrograde, which is also sitting in Cancer. So, what does that mean?

A regular new moon asks you to plant something fresh. This one won't let you. Mercury retrograde pulls you backward first. Think of it like clearing old growth before you put anything new in the ground.

Is there old grief you never finished processing? A conversation with family you keep rehearsing in your head but never have out loud?

Ask yourself, what emotional pattern keeps repeating? Which conversation needs a more thoughtful approach? Where have you ignored your own needs to keep everyone else comfortable?

This moon wants you looking at that stuff directly.

Create a quiet ritual tomorrow night. Light a white or silver candle, pour a bowl of water, and write down what safety actually feels like in your body right now. Not what it's supposed to look like, but what it actually feels like. Write down three intentions that are connected to your emotional well-being or your home. Be specific with each intention.

Clean one area of your home, prepare a comforting meal, call someone you trust, or take a cleansing bath with salt. Read an old journal entry if you have one. You might find the answer already sitting there in your own handwriting.

This new moon is asking you to go quiet, go inward, and tell yourself the truth about what you need.
