At JRV Logistics, Owner Operators have options.

🎧 Prefer having someone manage your freight? Work with a dedicated JRV dispatcher who handles load sourcing, rate negotiation, broker communication, and day-to-day load planning. Our dispatchers are hired for proven trucking experience and freight-market knowledge — including lane strategy, broker relationships, seasonality, and real-world truck operations.

Because they manage multiple trucks running throughout the country, they have visibility into changing markets, stronger and weaker lanes, seasonal shifts, and rate movement across different regions. They also develop broker relationships and freight connections that can create opportunities beyond simply taking the next load available on the board.

Our dispatchers are commission-based, so their compensation is tied to the performance of the trucks they manage. Their job is to keep an eye on the bigger picture — not just the next load — and help make freight decisions that keep the truck productive.

💻 Want more control? Self-dispatch is available for experienced Owner Operators who understand freight markets, seasonality, lanes, and rate strategy. You choose your own loads, negotiate your own rates, select your lanes, and plan your schedule — but with that control comes responsibility for those decisions. A poor lane choice, weak rate, bad repositioning decision, or failure to anticipate a changing market can directly affect the truck's weekly performance.

Whichever way you choose to run, the JRV split stays the same. There is no additional dispatch fee for using a JRV dispatcher.
